Transform your master closet into a luxurious and glamorous place to start and end your day.

Luxury master walk-ins allow for your closet to go beyond storage and serve as a dressing room where you can get ready for your busy agenda or unwind after work. With the right organization system and stylish accessories, your closet might become your favorite room in the house!

This 10-foot Closets By Liberty system transformed our master closet! We have a fairly large closet – and it had built-in shelving when we moved in 4 years ago. We’ve made do, but always felt that the use of space was very sub-par.

1. Select a floor-based storage system for a classic, built-in look.

Let’s start with the basics of any good closet – the storage. Even the most beautiful walk-in closet is nothing if not functional.

To create storage that is useful and stunning, choose a floor-based system. These organizers are supported by the floor and reach all the way to the baseboard for a finished look that prevents missed storage opportunities and unsightly gaps. Floor-based systems also allow for deeper shelves and drawers than hanging systems.

Closets by Liberty offers floor-based storage systems in a classic white finish, giving you the look of built-ins without the designer price tag. Our 10-foot systems (Extra Hanging and Extra Shelving) are great options for a large walk-in closet.

2. Add glamour with decorative molding and detailing.

Many custom built-ins feature decorative molding, beadboard, or woodworking that adds a touch of personal style to the storage system. On the other hand, inexpensive systems feature thin wire shelving and flat drawers.

Closets by Liberty systems feature designer details, like satin finish hardware and decorative molding along the top shelves, to ensure the finished product is modern and stylish.

I love the high-end designer details like the decorative molding, raised panel drawer fronts, and soft-close glides.

3. Create custom organization that’s unique to you.

In order for the space to truly be your dream closet, it must be fully customizable. You need to be able to move drawers, shelves, and rods to hang location or height to fit your unique needs.

If you decide to partner with a designer to add true built-ins to your closet, you’ll be sacrificing future flexibility.

With Closets by Liberty systems, you can adjust each piece of the system seasonally or as your wardrobe changes. You can also purchase additional drawers, shelves, and rods if you find you need more storage.

Our 10-foot closet systems feature five towers for endless customization.

4. Include a sitting area.

Once the storage is selected and installed, it’s time to make the walk-in closet a beautiful space where you want to spend time.

Consider an ottoman, chair, or bench. We love this look from Haneen’s Haven.

These items will help transform the closet into a dressing room where you can sit to enjoy your morning coffee, plan looks for special events, or even steam and fold your pieces.

5. Add accessories for the finishing touch.

To finish the walk-in closet, bring in accessories that match your interior design style. If you prefer a modern look, consider a sleek standing lamp and simple mirror. Or if you prefer a more ornate style, choose a chandelier and textured rug.

Your personal items like trays, candles, and bottles of perfume will add an elegant finishing touch. We love the texture that The Coastal Oak created using florals and geometric boxes.

This is what a master closet should look like, it [features] quality pieces and well thought out design.
